About Us

Woods Bee Co. was started in 2014 by Alan and Beverly Woods in their garage after wanting to bring beekeeping to their community. With Jesus Christ being their primary inspiration for helping people, their desire to learn more about honeybees made them a pillar of knowledge in the community. Since then, Alan has become a Master Beekeeper through Montana State University and Washington State. He and Beverly have personally taught and certified hundreds of beekeepers, helping them successfully over winter their bees. Alan put his knowledge and beekeeping skills into action by becoming the President of the Washington State Beekeeping Association. Alan has developed educational relationships with beekeepers and instructors from Washington State University (WSU Bee Lab), Oregon State University (OSU), and Montana State University (MSU). In 2019, the Woods relocated to a farm in Centralia, Washington, and built a bigger store. Alan and Beverly spend their time educating local beekeepers through all types of hands-on workshops (hence the name “All Things Bees”) while remaining current on beekeeping. While it may seem that we are tooting our horn, we are aware that if it were not for Jesus Christ, we would not have been able to do anything.
Our Purpose
The Purpose of “All Things Bees” is to create a place where beekeepers can network with other beekeepers and get up-to-date information, building their toolbox to meet all beekeeping tasks. This platform is a safe place to ask questions and get the help you need to succeed.
Our Goal
Our Goal is to build this platform where beekeepers in all fifty States can come contribute and benefit from information from their local area. While there will initially be a cost to maintain this platform, our hope is that it will become free as it grows, and the cost will be paid through advertising. However, we will help those who cannot afford it.
